2. Atmosphere

Ochershore(오커쇼어) features a wide glass-front façade, allowing plenty of natural light to flood the space during the day.

The interior combines soft wood tones with clean white elements—nothing overdone—creating a calm, minimalist atmosphere that feels like soft sand warmed by sunlight.

Gentle lo-fi and jazz music played in the background, which felt refreshingly different from the usually busy vibe of Jongno. It was a surprisingly soothing spot.

The café is comfortable for solo visits—perfect for reading a book or opening up a laptop—and overall noise levels stayed pleasantly low and relaxed.

Thanks to the combination of natural light and warm wood tones, Ochershore(오커쇼어) feels cozy, calm, and unhurried.

3. Menu Review

Ochershore(오커쇼어) clearly puts a lot of care into both its coffee and bakery offerings.

☕ Coffee

The beans are house-roasted, with a clean profile and balanced acidity—very approachable even for those who prefer smoother coffee.

I ordered:

• Iced Americano

• Latte

The latte stood out in particular. The milk balance was incredibly smooth, focusing more on aroma and texture than heavy intensity.

It’s the kind of clean, well-crafted latte that’s perfect for mornings.

🥐 Bakery

The signature item at Ochershore(오커쇼어) is undoubtedly the cardamom bun.

They also bake sourdough, sandwich bread, pastries, and various baked goods in-house, all of which seemed quite popular.

What I tried:

• Cardamom bun

• Sourdough toast

Both were satisfying enough to make me want to come back.

The cardamom bun had a gentle, well-balanced aroma—flavorful without being overpowering.

The sourdough had a beautifully crisp crust with a pleasantly chewy interior.

Overall, both the coffee and desserts are solid and thoughtfully made.

If you love bakeries, this place will definitely be your style.

4. Why I Recommend It

• Large windows → excellent natural light

• Wood-toned interior + soft music → instantly calming

• House-roasted coffee & in-house bakery → great quality across the board

• Rarely calm and minimalist compared to other cafés near Gyeongbokgung Station

Jongno and Gwanghwamun are usually packed with office workers and franchises.

Ochershore(오커쇼어) feels like a quiet oasis in the middle of it all.

5. Return Visit Notes

I enjoyed my first visit so much that I returned just a few days later.

It’s now firmly on my list for quiet morning coffees or relaxed weekend visits.

Officially added to my Jongno café routine.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a calm atmosphere, excellent bakery items, and clean, well-made coffee near Jongno or Gyeongbokgung Station, I highly recommend Ochershore(오커쇼어).

The natural light streaming through the large windows is beautiful, and the interior feels both modern and cozy—perfect for lingering.

The house-roasted coffee offers a clean and balanced range, and the desserts, especially the cardamom bun, are more than enough reason to come back.

Whether you’re working on a laptop, reading a book, or enjoying a quiet conversation, Ochershore(오커쇼어) is a café that balances ambience and taste beautifully.
